Parc Naturel Régional du Golfe du Morbihan - Lauzach & Berric

The Gulf of Morbihan Regional Natural Park is located on the southern coast of Brittany, in the department of Morbihan. Created to preserve and enhance inhabited spaces exceptional for the richness of their natural, landscape and cultural heritage, this is the 50th out of 51 Regional Natural Park created in France. Organize around a territorial project that seeks a balance between economic and social development as well as the preservation of heritage. In this sense, PNRs differ from Nature Reserves and National Parks which focus on nature protection. PNRs are so much more than that! Since 2017, the municipal team has been committed to biodiversity. In this sense, several actions have been carried out: censuses of species, photo competitions, nature walks, exhibitions... These have led to the development of a book presenting both the fauna and flora of the commune, and of the other retro-coastal communes of the park. To concretize the 3 years of work on the Atlas of Communal Biodiversity, the municipality of Lauzach and the Regional Natural Park, Atlas of Communal Biodiversity – PNR Gulf of Morbihan have published a book entitled: “Lauzach, the Extraordinary nature”. The 68-page book presents the animal and plant species and the environments they frequent in the municipality. Inquire at the town hall or the Lauzach media library.
