The Christmas lights

of Rochefort-en-Terre

Let me show you, through my eyes, the Christmas lights in Rochefort-en-Terre and make you want to discover this magic…

In the family

With my little tribe we decided to go and see the Illuminations de Rochefort-en-Terre. It’s a must-see event at the end of the year. With Halloween behind us, our thoughts are now turning to the magic of Christmas.

Personally, I love this kind of thing, the Christmas trees, the decorations and all those little lights that take us back into that enchanted world.

The smell of wine and hot chocolates, the laughter and those moments of sharing and joy. What I love about this time of year is the closeness with my loved ones, the desire to please and to give. This is another Rochefort-en-Terre setting to discover. It’s dark but all these lights are reassuring, it’s cold but it’s an atmosphere that warms our hearts.

Joy of living

The little lanes aren’t dark and make you want to venture out, it’s a pleasant walk filled with delicacies.

The children are happy and already dreaming of their presents, they try to catch the bubbles falling from the sky, the parents laugh and are happy to be together, surrounded by family or friends.

The illuminations extend all the way to the castle, with the Naia Museum responsible for illuminating the entrance to the park, offering an atmosphere, all their own, of an imaginary world.

A magical moment

Everybody’s smiling, we indulge in mulled wine with its pleasant, warm, festive aroma, and a kouign-amann, forgetting just how calorific this sweet treat is. But it doesn’t matter, in the present moment nothing can be negative, indulging ourselves and pleasing others is the only desire that crosses our minds. We’re in our bubble and don’t want it to burst, holding back this evening for as long as possible.

We’ve decided to go to a restaurant to extend this good time, there’s no shortage of it, there’s something for everyone! With our stomachs full and stars in our eyes, we headed back home, promising to return next year.
