The association Des Graines et des brouettes was created in 2012, around an educational garden located in La Vraie-Croix. One of the objectives of this association, created by Frédérique Deroche, is to promote the link to nature and the earth, to raise awareness of the richness of our plant heritage and biodiversity as well as the beauty of nature, through organic gardening activities, crafts, games, experiments…

Frédérique Deroche

A Breton from a rural background, a horticultural engineer (option "vegetable and grain production") since 1999, trained in agrobiology in 2002, Frédérique cultivates the art of linking science, culture and nature. Passionate about plants and their virtues, she gave up agricultural and horticultural education in 2009 to take a side road that led her to nature animation and then to wild plants. Go to discover wild plants

Frédérique offers many activities: nature outings to discover edible and medicinal wild plants and facilitation of nature workshops with a sensory and creative approach (one-time workshops or cycle of several sessions).

Quality accompaniment

After 5 years of nature animations in the garden or on the paths, Frédérique undertakes a complementary training as a “practitioner in artistic mediations” which allows her to offer the welcomed public a quality accompaniment in the expression of creativity in relation with nature.

Activities for all audiences

Frédérique develops these animations with the general public, schoolchildren, young children orseniors on different themes: discovery walks of the local flora, picking and cooking with wild plants, cycles of workshops on plants with nourishing and healing virtues, plant painting, bush creations, biodiversity in gardens…

The association's approach

“Nature is an exciting medium for rediscovering oneself, revealing oneself to oneself, provided that the dispositions to live it are met. It is a question of making oneself available internally in order to perceive our environment differently and to access this space of freedom, freedom to savor the moment or to be creative, in any case to feel fully alive! All the art of the facilitator being to allow and accompany this experience.“
