  • Competition
  • Fest Noz / Fest-diez
Centre Culturel Asphodèle, 21 rue Pont a Tan, 56230 Questembert
The Kan ar Bobl, song of the people is one of the most important manifestations of Breton culture!
Held annually, this competition brings together several hundred musicians and singers in rounds across Brittany, culminating in a final in Pontivy. The competition features several categories. The Questembert competition, from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM, is organized by the Andon association: a meeting place for people from the Upper Vannes region, the Gallo-speaking Vannes area, the Pays d'A-bas, Redon, and the Porhoët region. Andon also hosts a Fest-deiz (daytime Breton dance event) at 2:30 PM, running concurrently with the Kan ar Bobl 2026 competition. This year, the groups An Amaturien, Ayoul tad&mab, Grain de Celte, and the Andon singing workshop will provide entertainment at the Fest-deiz. A Breton singing workshop will also be held the day before with Elodie Jaffré and Maude Madec. Registration is by email.
