Located in the heart of 45 hectares of protected natural landscape, Branféré Park is one of the largest animal parks in France. It is home to more than 1,500 animals of 195 different species, including 60 endangered species, roaming in semi-freedom across vast multi-species plains. Here, there are no cages, no cars, and no artificial scenery: everything is designed to promote animal welfare and natural behaviors. During your visit, you might encounter giraffes, siamangs, okapis, red pandas, pygmy hippos, Humboldt penguins, wallabies, or even the impressive Indian rhinoceroses. From Africa to Asia, via South America, visitors embark on a true animal world tour, in the heart of a remarkable botanical garden. Branféré also offers a suspended adventure in the heart of nature with the Parcabout. 2,900 m² of nets in the trees for fun, jumping, and climbing in complete freedom high in nature. A strong commitment to animal welfare and conservation. Branféré is recognized as a benchmark in animal welfare. Each species benefits from a suitable natural habitat. The park relies on a scientific team specializing in ethology to ensure their behavioral needs are met, supported by a team of veterinarians and animal caretakers. A member of the EAZA and the AFDPZ, Branféré participates in more than 50 European conservation programs (EEP) and actively supports field initiatives, notably contributing to the reintroduction of the European pond turtle and the preservation of rare species such as the Indian rhinoceros and the siamang gibbon. A place dedicated to research and innovation. As a committed player in scientific research, Branféré regularly hosts scientific studies in partnership with universities. In 2024, a 2,000 m² aviary was inaugurated to study how birds adapt to environmental changes. In 2025, a groundbreaking study on the effects of music on animals will be launched in partnership with the University of Nanterre. This research, conducted with respect for the animals, enriches our knowledge while raising public awareness. The School of Nature: Raising Awareness Among Tomorrow's Citizens. Since 2004, Branféré has welcomed more than 8,000 students each year through its School of Nature, a pioneering educational concept in France. Through immersive educational stays, BAFA (youth leader) training, and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programs, the school aims to awaken awareness of environmental issues. This strong commitment to raising awareness complements Branféré's mission: to combine respect for biodiversity, the transmission of knowledge, and concrete action for the planet. And for a delicious break, you can choose between the self-service restaurant at the park entrance, the snack bar in the shade of the plane tree, or the crêperie in the African Plain. Tickets are available at preferential rates at the Tourist Offices in Questembert and Rochefort-en-Terre. Purchase your tickets online on the Branféré website; click on the "book" button below.
