From April to November, take your family to discover the imposing ruins of Ranrouët Castle, built from the 13th century onwards. Serving alternately as a fortress and a residence, it was shaped by its successive owners—the Assérac, Rochefort, and Rieux families—and remains today an essential witness to the history of Brittany. A place where nature and culture meet: In the heart of a unique natural setting, the castle reveals the architecture and secrets of Breton fortresses. Thanks to a multi-stage tour, explore the different parts of this sentinel of the Brière marshes… by walking, immersing yourself, and gaining a bird's-eye view. The ruins can be explored independently, on a guided tour with our guides, or during group and school visits. All information is available on our website.
