In the heart of the Landes de Monteneuf Regional Nature Reserve, discover more than 500 menhirs, including 42 standing ones that make this site an exceptional place. Listed as a "Historical Monument", the Monteneuf Menhirs date back to more than 4500 to 3000 years BC and form 7 rows oriented east-west. Free access all year round, the site comes alive during the spring, summer and All Saints' Day holidays. Our team invites you to imagine the lives of Neolithic men and women, to experience the gestures of Prehistoric artisans, to elucidate (or almost) the presence of these megaliths. Also set off to discover the wonders of the Reserve and its multitude of habitats and species: moors, ponds, meadows, woodlands and rocky outcrops.
