Main square of the town from the 17th century, the Place des Halles has long remained one of the important places, hosting fairs and markets.
The halls constitute the economic and social heart of the village, a place of meeting, sharing and exchange. They are built of granite and schist stones (pillars) and wood (framework). They are implanted in a U shape; originally they were open to the outside.
