Concert de Cheick Tidiane Dia

Cheick Tidiane Dia is from Bamako in Mali. He is one of the virtuosos of the kora, a traditional West African instrument sometimes called the African harp. He has played with Ballaké Sissoko, Toumani Diabaté, Thomas Sidibé and Ali Farka Touré, Sandra Nkake... Settled in Brittany for twenty years, he has endeavored to create bridges between African music and Celtic music. . He has more particularly adapted certain melodies of Breton heritage to the requirements of the crystalline and bewitching sound of the Kora. Tidiane's concerts are luminous moments of great intensity and great serenity. He passes imperceptibly from one repertoire to another with total coherence and a lot of poetry.
