For the first time, the horn is used as a true solo instrument. Beyond this small revolution, the trio also astonishes by the originality of its formation and by its structure, whose slow movement is absolutely overwhelming. To introduce this key composition of the repertoire, the musicians of the ONB have decided to highlight the virtuosity of three great female composers. You will have the pleasure of hearing the works of Jane Vignery, a student of Nadia Boulanger, and Amanda Röntgen-Maier, the first woman to graduate in orchestral conducting in Sweden in 1872. Nadia Boulanger was a composer and teacher of many great composers of the 20th century.
