We will have the pleasure of listening and dancing thanks to the duo Mike James/Guy Le Breton, the group Afell and Stal Kan Kistreberzh, the Breton singing workshop of the Andon association and Trad' Muz'. Afell is a Breton dance music group, with a spirit that is both traditional and creative. Their repertoire mixes traditional pieces and original compositions, often enriched by songs, which gives them a beautiful musical richness. They are distinguished by varied and effective arrangements, and a contagious stage energy, which makes them a real "Breton switch" - once they start, it is impossible to stay still! Stal Kan Kistreberzh is the Breton singing workshop of the Andon association, which has been bringing together nearly fifteen people in Questembert for the past year around a varied repertoire. It will perform dances from the Vannetais and Plinn region. He was appreciated by the dancers at the Questembert music festival. The Mike James / Guy Le Breton duo is a group deeply rooted in the world of Breton dance music. It combines: Mike James: diatonic accordion and vocals and Guy Le Breton: five-string violin (often called "electric violin"). Both from the Ploërmel and Malestroit regions, they share a long history of performing, accumulating more than 30 years of stage proximity and participation in festoù-noz. This duo offers a danceable and varied repertoire that draws from all over Brittany. We hear in turn: ridées, gavottes, pilé-menu, rond de Saint-Vincent, scottish, mazurka, waltz, avants-deux, andro — and sometimes even forays into Wales! The contrast between Mike James's powerful and vibrant diatonic accordion playing and Guy Le Breton's frenzied violin gives rise to music that is lively, warm, and irresistible for the Trad'Muz' dancers, a brand new group from the Muzillac region.
