The three associations "Communes du Patrimoine Rural", "Small Cities of Character®" and "Union of Towns of Art and History and Historic Towns" of Brittany, grouped under the banner Heritage of Brittany are launching the operation "Fleurissons our streets #2”. In Rochefort-en-Terre, the municipality will hold a stand all day from 10 a.m. to 5/6 p.m. to distribute flower seeds to be sown by the Rochefortais.es at the "foot of the wall" of their homes. The LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) will hold an information stand on birds and biodiversity. An LPO botanist will make us discover the plants of our streets. A total of 7,000 sachets of seeds will be made available free of charge to the inhabitants of the 56 participating towns, cities and villages, during events and awareness-raising workshops on the presence or return of nature in the city. Anxious to combine urbanization and nature, the municipalities wish to offer the possibility to the inhabitants of appropriating the public space and thus become actors involved in the embellishment of their streets, their living environment and their territory and meet the following challenges: • Beautify the streets, alleys, alleys and enhance the heritage; • Create a welcoming living environment for residents and visitors; • Create social ties and promote the participation of residents; • Develop biodiversity in towns and city centres; • Reduce soil sealing.
