Lavoir et fontaine Saint Martin
Historic site and monument, Fountain and wash house
in Questembert
-
Together from the 16th century, the fountain and the wash house are made of regular granite surrounded by a low stone wall.
-
The fountain looks like a small temple resting on large columns and topped with a domed roof. A niche is provided for the statue of the Saint. The four-sided dome overlooking the fountain in no way recalls the three torsos of the fountain of the old Presbytery. Nestled in the greenery, this fountain and this washhouse evoke the activity of the washerwomen.
