The Menhirs of Monteneuf, located in the heart of the Landes de Monteneuf Regional Nature Reserve, is a megalithic site with more than 500 menhirs, 42 of which are standing. This exceptional place, which is still the subject of archaeological research today and is listed as a "historical monument", offers visitors numerous activities and events. To experience the Neolithic period, participatory, immersive and educational workshops are offered by archaeology mediators during school holidays, to learn about the actions of our distant ancestors or walk in the footsteps of archaeologists. Throughout the year, an interpretation trail allows visitors to discover the site through three reconstruction areas: the Neolithic village, the menhir site and the archaeological research area. Free access all year round. Visits and mediation during: - Easter holidays (all areas) - During the National Archaeology Days and the European Heritage Days - the summer holidays - the All Saints' Day holidays Reservations only online.
