Jean Michel Rubio, a visual artist known worldwide for his book sculptures, and Jean Luc Mas, an artistic ironworker, set up shop in Questembert throughout June to create four monumental sculptures from books destined for destruction. Jean Michel Rubio, a visual artist known worldwide for his book sculptures, and Jean Luc Mas, an artistic ironworker, set up shop in Questembert throughout June to create four monumental sculptures from books destined for destruction. Many residents worked to bring these collective sculptures to life. Blending metal and books, these sculptures, inspired by Breton and Morbihan symbolism, can be found in various spaces throughout the town center. Go in search of the Red Dragon, the Seahorse, the Dolmen, and the Clothed Trees! Since 2023, artistic installations have been taking place in public spaces during the summer season via a call for participatory projects. A jury of volunteer residents chose this project from among 71 proposals. With the participation of the Questembert, Le Cours, Molac and Caden media libraries, the Beausoleil School, the Parc residence, the bookstore "L'as tu lu?", the recycling center, the nature and heritage site and the residents.
