The 100 Issues Company is once again setting up its big top in Malansac and offering multiple events in partnership with local associations!
From July 22nd to August 16th, the 100 Issues Company will be setting up its big top in Malansac, a self-produced event contributing to the rich local cultural diversity, because we believe in its essential nature! With this temporary venue, we hope to create a welcoming space, a place to return to and reconnect with. The Compagnie des Possibles invites you to dance under the starry canopy of the 100 Issues Company's big top on Saturday, August 15th, 2026 in Malansac. The evening's program features a myriad of diverse dances from both the Old and New Worlds. Enjoy a captivating violin and wind duo, a pair of synthesizer players, and a frenetic collective of foot-stompers, all accompanied by an energetic caller! The Enchanted Ball program (starting at 8 pm): - Le Pottier - L'haridon - These two musical partners concoct music nourished by unisons, counterpoint, and rhythmic drones. Singing in Breton, blended with improvisation, creates a vibrant energy within the duo, giving it a raw, fresh, and unadulterated roots flavor. - OSSO - an experimental dance project where the Le Breton brothers, inspired by the tradition of duo musicians, replace acoustic instruments with synthesizers and use the codes of electronic music to produce enveloping sounds with real-time four-handed playing. - The 5 to 7 Carré Collective - In a spirit of openness, the evening will end with the collective's Quebecois dance party, featuring dances where everyone, experienced or not, will discover the intoxicating and energetic euphoria of Canadian reel suites. This summer, for the second year in a row, the 100 Issues company (which presented the show "Bluff" last summer) is setting up its big top in Malansac! For a month, the company is self-producing and will present its show: SONATA FOR 4 DOGS. A musical and circus sextet. This piece could have been called "It's Your Turn," or "Avatar 2," or "A Rule Is Interpreted," or "Adapt or You Lose." It could have moved beyond overly restrictive terms like "sonata" or "dogs" since, despite what they might want to believe, none of the protagonists of this project have ever owned a dog or had any classical training. Yet they share with the canine species the common trait of having bones to gnaw on—their chew toys—and with the sonata the indefinable nature of their musical form. The compositional method of this exhilarating variation is a game with complex rules that push the artists to surpass themselves and remain in a state of constant adaptation. Presented every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Suitable for all audiences (recommended for ages 5 and up). Duration: 1 hour. There will again be workshops led with the community center, concerts by local bands, and karaoke nights. New this year is that every Saturday, local associations and artists will be welcomed to the big top for additional artistic offerings.
