Description
As part of the 2026 musical season of the association "Les Orgues de Questembert".
Concert performer, harpist, actor, storyteller, organist, composer, flautist... Yvon Le Quellec blends classical and early music with traditional music. He sings, plays the harp, and tells stories. A concert for young and old. Yvon Le Quellec is a Celtic harpist (hence, a harpist), storyteller and singer, organist, and flautist. His work as a concert performer, musician-actor, and storyteller is very diverse and combines classical and traditional music. He is also a composer and, among other works, the author of a Stabat Mater in Breton for organ, voice, and harp, and a trio for piano, flute, and harp (without pedals), Harpe diem. He is the author of several storytelling CDs (featuring Celtic harp music), including "Breton Tales for Little Darlings and Big Rascals," "Between Land and Sea," and "Breton Tales for the Celtic Harp." In addition to his "traditional" concerts, Yvon also performs a hilarious Breton musical comedy one-man show, "Harpofolies," with his two harps and some surprising props. One of his pieces for harp ensemble was performed at the arrival of the Olympic flame in Guadeloupe. Since 2016, he has been the artistic director of the "Les Automnales de la Harpe" festival, held annually in the southern Île-de-France region. Admission is free throughout the concert. A live broadcast will be shown on a large screen. More information is available on the association's website. Donations are welcome.
