Description
Parent'halles returns for its 4th year, a festive moment for children and adults alike!
The International Day of Families under the Market Hall in Questembert! Echoing the United Nations' World Day of Parenthood, the parents' association Les Vieilles Branches has been organizing a day dedicated to parenthood and its challenges since 2023. The program includes: - a craft market - a parenting conference - shows for all ages throughout the afternoon - an evening concert by À l'ouest de l'est - a raffle. From 10:00 AM to noon, the team from Planning Familial 56 (Family Planning 56) will be present to offer supportive discussions on communication, choosing the right words, and consent. Talking to children about intimacy and consent is essential for better self-awareness and self-esteem, growing up without taboos, and knowing how to protect themselves. This free workshop, open to all, provides theoretical and practical guidance. Parent'halles also supports the local economy by organizing a craft market and artisans' fair throughout the day under the beautiful market hall. Nearly 20 exhibitors will showcase their skills. Entertainment for all ages begins at 3 pm with Nadia from the Espace Hors du Temps company in Herbignac, a clownish storytelling performance for all ages, followed by Don Julio El Pirata, a local acoustic artist known for his poetic style. An aperitif concert starts at 6 pm with roots rock featuring Édouard from Steady Sound, hailing from Ferel, playing blues rock and funk covers. At 8 pm, enjoy a live electro marimba set with Armel Goupil from Sarzeau Soloma, performing his own original set. Food and drinks will be available throughout the day, for all ages. Free entry; all performances are free. The parents' association Les Vieilles Branches is organizing this event to support the Ecol Eau Graines Questembert primary and nursery school, a unique bilingual eco-school in the Questembert area that uses Freinet and Montessori teaching methods.
