Description
By the company La Cacophonie des Anges.
A residency performance by La Cacophonie des Anges. Free admission. Suitable for all ages 7 and up. A solo performance combining theater and street art, Brèche (Breach) is a show that humorously and unconventionally tells the story of a haunted woman. Through strange, absurd, and unsettling ghostly presences, the show explores our relationship with the absent, with grief, and with the invisible thresholds that cross our lives. The thread of the story… It's the story of a haunted woman. Nothing exceptional. It happens all the time. Well… maybe not to this extent. At first, it's fine, we tell ourselves, "It's nothing." "A little hole in the heart, like a door left ajar, it's manageable." Oh yes, manageable they are… The recalcitrant, the lost souls of the threshold, the undead spot a breach from miles away. So they enter and use what they find. Voices. Gestures. Bodies. Practice! And no matter how hard she tries to contain it, to keep it under control, it gets tangled up. It persists. And it always ends up overflowing. And them, well, you know how they are, they have all the time in the world. Time is no longer their concern. So if you had to remember one thing, just one: above all, above all, don't get up during the show. They escape so easily, you see. And a void is always so tempting… Breach poses strange questions that we rarely dwell on. “What haunts us, and why does it haunt us?” “Why is dying so difficult?” “Are there road signs in the afterlife?” No need to wait for the big death to prepare: we can already practice with the unpleasant little endings and examine our messy grief together, like we might examine daisies on a Sunday morning.
