Directed by Jean-François Laguionie - from 8 years old - 1h15min In the early 1950s, on the banks of the Marne, François, an 11-year-old boy, discovers with interest that his parents are starting to build a boat in the small family garden, a replica of the sailboat of the famous sailor Joshua Slocum. Over the years, in a post-war France, young François will sail from adolescence to adulthood. As the boat is built, while looking back with tender and poetic eyes at his mother and father, the young boy will begin his own adventure, one that will lead him on the path of his passions, the sea and drawing.
