At the end of this day of work, you will have created and finalized a short comic strip. Online reservation (HelloAsso) possible by clicking on the “reserve” button on this page. Two introductory remarks: + Having a good level of drawing is not necessary to participate in these workshops. One prerequisite, however: wanting to tell a story in images. Everyone will be able to work on their own creation, accompanied by advice from Hélène. + Participating in only one of the two workshops is possible. For those who are only interested in the afternoon session, you are asked to come with a scenario and a cutting idea. In the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.: create your “storyboard” During the morning, the workshop will be devoted to preparing the comic strip. You will work on the idea, writing and layout of a scene. You can also think about the place, the character and the kind of story being told. The objective is to obtain an initial breakdown of the action, also called a “storyboard”. Practical information: Papers and pens will be at your disposal. You can also bring materials with which you are comfortable for writing and scribbling (pencil, bic pen, felt-tip pen, notebook, loose paper, etc.). Do not hesitate to bring personal or non-personal creations (reference comics) from which you can draw inspiration. In the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: put your scene into images Once satisfied with your cutting, you will concentrate on creating the final comic strip. Given the duration of this introductory workshop, Hélène will invite you to work on a limited number of boxes and sheets: no more than one page (a comic book page) or even two for the quickest and most ambitious. You will then have plenty of time to make it longer... The boards can be made using the following techniques: graphite pencil, colored pencil, felt-tip pen... That being said, comics being a very broad art, don't hesitate to be creative by opting for techniques and materials that inspire you: photography, cutting and pasting, painting, everything is possible! In this case, come with your own tools and materials… Practical information: Basic materials will be at your disposal to work with (felt pens, pencils). A4 and A3 sheets will be provided. Public/Prerequisites: from 15 years old. Min. / Max. number of participants: 6/11 A deposit of 50% is required upon reservation. It will be kept in the event of cancellation by the participant occurring less than 3 working days before the workshop (unless the person withdrawing finds a replacement) and refunded if the workshop does not take place, due to lack of sufficient numbers. of participants. Payment of the deposit by check, cash or online via HelloAsso.
