To understand what they stood for, and sing them together today! 9 p.m. Screening of the film “¡Ay Carmela!” directed by Carlos Saura in 1990. Spain, 1937. Traveling actors who support the Republican camp are arrested by the Francoists. To save their skin, will they agree to put on a show that ridicules the fighters from the international brigades imprisoned with them? Through this story, that of a troupe of actors, tossed between the Francoist and Republican camps. Carlos Saura offers us a look, completely new in cinema, on the Civil War, through comedy, extremely effective in understanding the issues of the conflict.
